Hi! Read and listen along with me as I take you through popular grounding exercise: 5,4,3,2,1 using the senses.
We it our first bbq and lit a fire last night. We are very lucky.
Oh I’ve really missed writing these prompts. Some of you will know that I’ve been off work for a while recovering from a thing- I’m really well now and so happy to be back in the classroom but, naturally, very tired.
I think most of England is blessed with some lovely mild weather this weekend- I hope you’re able to enjoy it.
I know a lot of us find being outside easier in the Spring, and that it can be a source of inspiration for our writing.
This prompt will take you through some of the sights and sounds that have inspiring me over the last few days. I want to encourage you to try to leave aside anything that might be a worry, a struggle or a barrier to finding some peace outside.
PROMPT
Ideally, you would take your writing implements outside to somewhere near you that is beautiful and peaceful: a park, garden, footpath, waterside. BUT- when the sun is shining, we can look for inspiration as long as we have a window or a door. Throw them open if you can, if you’re lucky enough to have a seat that you can take outside or near to a door, please do.
If you’ve ever had any sort of therapy, you will probably recognise this prompt: 5,4,3,2,1. It’s my favourite and I use it frequently on my own and with my children as well as at work in lessons and with students individually.
I think I’ll record this in real time so that you can listen and write with me.
