Hi!
It's been a while.
I hope you all enjoyed issue 13 of ‘Scribbles’, the UNCANNY edition.
I was in two minds about whether to run a writing thing during this school holiday.
There is a lot going on, isn’t there?
But, here we are.
12 Glimmers.
Each day from 26th December, for twelve days, we’ll share a writing prompt over on Instagram.

I hope you'll find something that inspires some creative fizzing in you over the next couple of weeks.
Rambles:
My Chromebook has packed up. It's weird, because I bought it when I was first diagnosed in 2018 and it has been my companion through blog writing, therapy, 70k words of a novel, finding out that I quite like scribbling a poem once in a while and editing Scribbles since COVID times.
Now, here I am, at a new stage in life health wise, with lots to look forward to, lots of ideas and potentially some more writing to do.
Serendipitously, a colleague happened to mention that they had enjoyed a piece of my writing last year (I think it was our CHAOS edition). At first I had no idea what they were talking about, but slowly I realised that they had recalled two characters from my WIP and one of the first scenes I wrote in their story. It amazed me that my characters had become so hidden in my mind that I'd almost forgotten them, and that someone I'm not particularly close to had remembered details so clearly.
My point is, that however slowly Scribbles sometimes moves and however much I overthink every mistake I make: writing really is magic, and sharing it is even more so.
How are you? How is your writing going?
Share your progress or your Glimmers in the comments.
I'm looking forward to writing with you over the 12 days of Glimmer.
Enjoy,
Rachael
