Hi,

I’m sitting in the twinkling penumbra of some newly erected fairy lights, wondering how much I feel like sharing in this prompt. I’ve been tempted in to subscriptions and paid subscriptions with the promise of ‘big life updates’ or ‘you won’t believe what happened’ emails.

‘Scribbles’ has never been about that and I don’t want it to be. BUT, I think I’m more likely to find my imagination by sharing here, than if I carry on scrolling through other peoples’ confessions and updates.

So, I’ll share a little: after a weekend of procrastination, where I should have marked upwards of 80 pieces of writing for three classes, I’m sat with these twinkling fairy lights, newly erected, watching my kids watching some rubbish on some channel feeling that I will never have a creative idea again. Until, the little fizz happens, literally as I’m typing this intro, and a prompt appears.
